Light, sweet crude for August delivery settled down 50 cents, or 1%, at $50.91 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the lowest settlement since April 9. Brent, the global benchmark, rose 46 cents, or 0.8%, to $57.51 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. WSJ Reports.

SandRidge Energy, Inc., an oil and natural gas company, explores for and produces oil and natural gas properties primarily in the Mid-Continent region of the United States.

Finally, United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:UAL), ended its last trade with -0.94% loss, and closed at $54.98.
