Active Stocks to Track: Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), ON Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ:ON), IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX)

On Monday, Shares of Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), gained 1.80% to $55.54.

Citi’s Board of Directors recently declared that it has elected Eugene M. McQuade as a new non-executive director, effective right away. Mr. McQuade is the former CEO of Citibank, N.A. and former Vice Chairman of Citigroup and is presently the Chairman of the Board of XL Group.

O’Neill. “Not only does Gene bring a wealth of expertise from his deep experience in banking, but he also offers continuity of knowledge in the capital planning process which has become so central to our business planning.”

ON Semiconductor Corporation, driving energy efficiency innovations, is expanding its highly-regarded 1/3-inch 1 megapixel (MP) image sensor portfolio with early sampling of the company’s first backside illuminated (BSI) sensor technology for the automotive imaging market. The innovative new sensor technology delivers 4x better low light signal-to-noise ratio, a 40 percent enhance in visible light sensitivity, and greater than 60 percent improvement in near infrared (NIR) performance than the current market leading AR0132AT CMOS image sensor for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Finally, IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX), ended its last trade with 2.19% gain, and closed at $37.26.

IMAX Corporation, and Sony Pictures Entertainment declared recently that Pixels, the action-comedy starring Adam Sandler, directed by Chris Columbus, and produced by Happy Madison Productions and 1492 Pictures, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released into select IMAX® theatres domestically on July 24. The film will also be released in select overseas IMAX® theatres in conjunction with their wide international release dates.

Together with Sandler, the film also stars Kevin James, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Michelle Monaghan.

Commenting on the declaration, Rory Bruer, president, Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures, said, “Pixels is an extremely fun ride with dazzling special effects – which makes it a perfect match with IMAX. Moviegoers will love how exciting this 3D summer tentpole looks in the IMAX screens.”
