Active Stocks to Track: PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP), Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD), Buckeye Partners, L.P. (NYSE:BPL)

On Monday, Shares of PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP), lost -4.57% to $91.85.

PepsiCo declared that Hugh Johnston, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, Tom Greco, Chief Executive Officer, Frito-Lay North America, and Ramon Laguarta, Chief Executive Officer, Europe Sub-Saharan Africa, will present at the Barclays Back-to-School Consumer Conference in Boston on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at about 8:15 a.m. EDT.

PepsiCo, Inc. operates as a food and beverage company worldwide. Its Frito-Lay North America segment offers Lay’s potato chips, Doritos tortilla chips, Cheetos cheese-flavored snacks, Tostitos tortilla chips, branded dips, Ruffles potato chips, Fritos corn chips, and Santitas tortilla chips.

Shares of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD), declined -5.19% to $10.04, during its last trading session.

Brocade declared continued innovation in its Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions with the introduction of the Brocade Analytics Monitoring Platform. Representing a new product line for the company, the Brocade Analytics Monitoring Platform allows organizations to achieve greater ROI and reduced OpEx for their mission-critical applications by providing IT staff with the highest levels of monitoring and analytics between servers and storage. As a result, organizations can better ensure predictable performance and operational stability for their IT infrastructures.

Monitoring and analyzing IT infrastructure performance has been a complex, time-consuming task that requires complete end-to-end network knowledge to optimize application performance. Typically, IT staff has had two alternatives — manual methods that use Excel spreadsheets, or expensive automated tools that add complexity, expose the network to security risks, and require application and network outages during the installation, configuration, and tuning process. The new Brocade solution represents a much simpler design and deployment architecture that is superior to these traditional alternatives.

Recently, many enterprises rely on guesswork and the accrued experience of IT staff to maintain application Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and to identify and resolve issues across their compute, network, and storage resources. As requirements for 100 percent network availability continue to grow, a lack of complete visibility into the IT infrastructure can cause excessive and unnecessary application performance impact and downtime events as IT staff struggle to quickly identify and resolve bottlenecks, configuration mistakes, and other conditions that prevent predictable performance for network-connected servers and storage.

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. provides storage area networking (SAN) and Internet protocol networking solutions for businesses and organizations worldwide. It operates through SAN Products, IP Networking Products, and Global Services segments.

Finally, Buckeye Partners, L.P. (NYSE:BPL), ended its last trade with -1.57% loss, and closed at $66.25.

Buckeye Partners declared that one of its operating auxiliaries, Buckeye Pipe Line Transportation LLC, has executed Transportation Services Agreements with all committed customers for its Michigan/Ohio Pipeline Expansion Project. Buckeye had formerly declared the successful completion of an open season for the Project. These executed commitments will allow Buckeye Transportation to move forward with the engineering and construction of the Project. Once complete, the Project will allow Buckeye Transportation to offer expanded transportation service of refined petroleum products from origin points in Michigan and Ohio to destination points in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Project completion is planned for the second half of 2016.

Buckeye Partners, L.P. owns and operates liquid petroleum products pipeline systems in the United States. The company operates through four segments: Pipelines & Terminals, Global Marine Terminals, Merchant Services, and Development & Logistics.
