He was formerly vice chairman and president of Old Kent Bank, which was attained by Fifth Third Bancorp in 2001.

NiSource Inc., an energy holding company, provides natural gas, electricity, and other products and services in the United States. The company offers natural gas service and transportation to residential, commercial, and industrial customers; generates, transmits, and distributes electricity; and provides wholesale and transmission transaction services. It serves about 3.5 million natural gas customers and 500,000 electric customers in in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Indiana, and Massachusetts.

Shares of CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS), during its Thursday’s current trading session fell -0.94%, and is now trading at $53.62.

CBS Corporation and Sinclair Broadcast Group have declared a comprehensive deal that renews station affiliation agreements for 16 markets nationwide. The markets renewed cover six percent of the U.S. and serve about seven million households.

“Sinclair is an important and valued local broadcasting partner,” said Ray Hopkins, President, Television Networks Distribution, CBS Corporation. “We are happy to enter another affiliation agreement with them, and in so doing, realize the full value for the programing we will provide to their stations.”

Finally, Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE), gained 3.27% Thursday.

Nucor Corporation, declared merged net earnings of $124.8 million, or $0.39 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2015. By comparison, Nucor stated net earnings of $67.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2015 and net earnings of $147.0 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2014. Second quarter of 2015 diluted net earnings per share of $0.39 was above our guidance range of $0.20 to $0.25 per diluted share due to better than forecasted performance in the steel mills segment.

In the first half of 2015, Nucor stated merged net earnings of $192.6 million, or $0.60 per diluted share, contrast with merged net earnings of $258.1 million, or $0.80 per diluted share, in the first half of last year.

Nucor Corporation manufactures and sells steel and steel products in the United States and internationally. It operates through three segments: Steel Mills, Steel Products, and Raw Materials.
