Afternoon’s Trade Buzz: Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG), Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), Basic Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE:BAS), Canadian Natural Resources Limited (NYSE:CNQ)

On Tuesday, Shares of Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ:PLUG), gained -0.39% to $2.54.

Plug Power, reported its 2015 first quarter financial results.

The Company declared bookings of over $46 million in the first quarter. This was driven by continual success with retailers and manufacturers. The results are in line with projections of more than $200 million in bookings for the full-year 2015.

During the first quarter, the Company recognized $9.4 million in revenue, a 69% enhance from the first quarter of 2014. This comprises 265 GenDrive units and one hydrogen fueling station. In addition, the Company shipped 419 GenDrive units and made construction progress on seven hydrogen fueling stations. These shipments will be recognized in revenue during the second quarter of 2015.

Plug Power shipped 175 of those 419 GenDrive units to a new GenKey customer—a big box retailer that is implementing a hydrogen fuel cell forklift truck fleet in a newly constructed regional distribution center in Ohio. Additionally, Plug Power has accomplished a GenFuel infrastructure for this customer that has recently become fully operational.

The Company maintains its 2015 forecast of total sales in excess of $100 million, comprised of sales of more than 3,300 GenDrive units and construction of more than 15 GenFuel hydrogen infrastructures. These sales will ramp up through the year with 35% to 40% of the annual revenue predictable in the first half of 2015.

Plug Power Inc., an alternative energy technology provider, engages in the design, development, manufacture, and commercialization of fuel cell systems for the industrial off-road markets worldwide.

Shares of Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), declined -0.35% to $11.28, during current trading session.

Ericsson, declared it will relocate its Montreal -based R&D and Services Centre to a new site located on Poirier St., fronting on the Trans-Canada Highway, in the City of Montreal , borough of Saint-Laurent .

The new facility will house the company’s more than 1700 employees in the area and the move is predictable to start at the end of 2016. The new Montreal office will provide Ericsson with an efficient and state-of-the-art work environment to effectively support business needs in Montreal well into the future.

Mark Henderson , Head of Ericsson Canada , together with company officials were joined by Saint-Laurent Mayor, Alan DeSousa , and members of his council to commemorate the occasion at a ground breaking ceremony held this afternoon.

Ericsson provides communications technology and services worldwide. The company’s Networks segment delivers products and solutions for mobile access, Internet protocol (IP) and transmission networks, core networks, and cloud.

During Tuesday’s trade, Shares of Basic Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE:BAS), gained 2.07% to $9.86.

Basic Energy Services, stated selected operating data for the month of April 2015. Basic’s well servicing rig count remained unchanged at 421. Well servicing rig hours for the month were 50,700 producing a rig utilization rate of 50%, contrast to 55% and 70% in March 2015 and April 2014, respectively.

During the month, Basic’s fluid service truck count reduced by 15 to 1,008. Fluid service truck hours for the month were 190,600 contrast to 202,900 and 212,200 in March 2015 and April 2014, respectively.

Drilling rig days for the month were 124 producing a rig utilization of 34%, contrast to 50% and 81% in March 2015 and April 2014, respectively.

Basic Energy Services, Inc. provides well site services to oil and natural gas drilling and producing companies in the United States. Its Completion and Remedial Services segment offers pumping services, such as cementing, acidizing, fracturing, nitrogen, and pressure testing; rental and fishing tools; coiled tubing; snubbing services; thru-tubing; cased-hole wireline services; and underbalanced drilling in low pressure and fluid sensitive reservoirs. This segment operates 291 pumping units; and 66 air compressor packages, counting 36 snubbing units, 16 coiled tubing units, and 10 wireline units.

Finally, Canadian Natural Resources Limited (NYSE:CNQ), gained 1.56% to $31.97.

Canadian Natural Resources, declared its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common shares of C$0.23 (twenty-three cents) per common share. The dividend will be payable July 1, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 12, 2015.

Canadian Natural Resources Limited acquires, explores for, develops, produces, markets, and sells crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The company offers light and medium crude oil, primary heavy crude oil, Pelican Lake heavy crude oil, bitumen, and synthetic crude oil (SCO).
