Al Ahly emerges victorious over Raja in the African Champions League quarter-finals’ first leg.

Egyptian club Al Ahly beat their Moroccan guest Raja with two unanswered goals in a match that brought them together on Saturday in the first leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim scored the main goal for Al Ahli with a header in the second minute of stoppage time of the first half.

Substitute Hamdi Fati doubled the score with a second goal in the 83rd minute with a powerful shot from outside the box.

The two teams will meet a week later in Casablanca in the second leg to determine who will advance to the semi-finals.
