Al-Hilal devises a fictitious salary for French national team goalkeeper’s contract negotiations

Press reports revealed major surprise at the desire of Saudi club Al-Hilal to sign the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and the French national team during the upcoming summer transfer period.

And French site Foot Mercato has confirmed that Saudi Al-Hilal are in serious talks with Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to sign him during the Summer Mercato.

He continued: “Loris’ contract with Tottenham expires at the end of next season, but it looks like he is going to leave Spurs at the end of the current season.”

He added: “Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia offered Hugo Lloris 3 times his current salary at Tottenham, or just over 1.3 million euros a month.”

And the French site said: “Al-Hilal is currently discussing a club project with Loris and the Tottenham goalkeeper appears to be interested and is looking into the proposals presented to him.”

Saudi Crescent seeks a strong deal

Al-Hilal club are looking to strike lucrative deals during the summer transfer period to bolster the ranks of the first football team to be denied new contracts for two successive periods.
