The Asia Times website quotes an unnamed American expert as saying that the US is rapidly and catastrophically losing its all-round global influence, underestimating Russia.
The expert, who is one of the participants in a closed conference of prominent American foreign politicians, stressed that the United States is overestimating its production capabilities in terms of supplying the Kyiv regime with weapons and ammunition.
The expert stressed that a ceasefire in Ukraine would be in the interests of Washington.
He said: “The United States does not have sufficient industrial capacity to supply Ukraine with the necessary artillery shells. I stressed (at the conference) that the best policy is an immediate ceasefire, because this step is a slavish lifeline for Washington. The American expert added: “The Ukrainian army is experiencing an acute shortage of well-trained personnel and officers, because its trained specialists were liquidated during a Russian special operation, and now Ukrainian recruits are being thrown into battle after three weeks of training. In addition, an important part of the economy has been exposed.” The Ukrainian civilian population is under threat due to the mobilization of workers.
The article emphasizes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should in this case accept the Chinese peace plan.
