Representative of the Turkish Presidency Ibrahim Kalin said that Ankara calls on Western countries to intensify efforts to launch the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine.

“To stop the conflict, let’s combine our efforts to ensure peace and negotiations,” Kalin said.

He indicated that the continuation of this conflict would lead to a global catastrophe.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier, commenting on peace initiatives on Ukraine from other countries, that “any other ideas, given the Russian position, deserve attention, and Russia is ready to listen to them.”
