Assassin’s Creed Mirage: No Expansion Planned

Ubisoft has recently announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the highly anticipated game, will not receive any DLC or major post-launch content. This decision has sparked a divide within the Assassin’s Creed community, with some players disappointed and others celebrating the return to the roots of the franchise.

The Transformation of AC Mirage

Originally conceived as a simple DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has evolved into a full-fledged game. Similar to how Saints Row IV grew from being an extension of Saints Row III, AC Mirage promises to deliver a rich and immersive experience. Set in Baghdad, a few years before the events of Valhalla, players will assume the role of Basim, an enigmatic assassin with a mysterious backstory. The gameplay will focus on infiltration and parkour, staying true to the franchise’s roots.

The Future of Assassin’s Creed

While Assassin’s Creed Mirage marks a return to the franchise’s origins, Ubisoft has many surprises in store for fans. A partnership with OWO will introduce a haptic feedback jacket, allowing players to physically feel Basim’s actions in the bustling city of Baghdad. Additionally, Ubisoft is preparing eleven other Assassin’s Creed games, including the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red set in feudal Japan and Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile-exclusive episode set in third-century China. These upcoming titles promise to provide players with diverse and immersive experiences.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to release on October 12, available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.
