Assassin’s Creed: Mirage’s Haptic Suit Allows Players to Feel Every Blade in the Game

It was recently disclosed that OWO and Ubisoft have collaborated on developing an intelligent and cutting-edge haptic suit for use in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game. When playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage, scheduled for release on October 12th, 2023, users can tour Baghdad and feel every blade that is sunk into Basim thanks to a fantastic new technological advancement.

This haptic suit has a ‘patented OWO skin’ comprising gel pads and feedback devices. It also has a series of electrodes that activate sensations that the user ‘would have never felt before.’ According to the report, some aspects of the game, such as parkour and battle, would cause the haptic suit to emit feedback, allowing players to experience some of the sensations that Basim is having.

Is It Appropriate For The Cost?

The OWO haptic suit is a cool concept, but consumers must shell out a staggering €500 to get their hands on one. The setting is based on the Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game, as you could have guessed. Ubisoft and OWO worked together on its development to create the product.

The list of feelings that a user of this haptic suit may feel while wearing it was broken down in detail on the OWO website, and some of them sound a little bit… Freaky.

There was a wide variety of feelings, but only some of them will relate to the Assassin’s Creed Mirage experience. These include the following:

  • Free Fall
  • Dart
  • Axe
  • Dagger
  • Punch
  • Severe Abdominal Wound
  • Chest Dagger Wound

Aside from that, there are a lot of other sensations that, on the surface, don’t seem to make much sense, but I’d like to experience them anyway:

  • Stress
  • ‘Strange Sensation’
  • Fast Driving
  • Push Heavy Object

I’m unsure how a haptic suit could replicate the experience of pulling or pushing something heavy. Still, that’s the point of the technology.

According to its website, OWO also provides suit integrations with games like CS: GO, PUBG, VALORANT, Fortnite, World of Tanks, The Forest, Among Us, and Apex Legends.
