Belgium finished top of Group F by beating host Azerbaijan 1-0 on Saturday in a European Cup qualifier for Germany in the summer of 2024.

The Red Devils owe the credit for this victory to the new striker of the Saudi club Al-Shabab, Yannick Carrasco, who joined their ranks from the Spanish Atletico Madrid and scored the only goal of the match in the 38th minute.

The win is Belgium’s third, compared to one draw with Austria, who chase them in second place on the same number of points (10 points), but the Belgians are superior on goal difference.

As for Azerbaijan, they suffered their third defeat in exchange for one draw and are in fifth and last place with just one point.

Sweden will later play in the same group with Estonia, with the former in third place with three points and the latter in fourth with one point.
