In the second quarter of this year, U.S. President Joe Biden outperformed all other presidential candidates in fundraising for the 2024 presidential campaign, according to The Hill.
“President Biden’s fundraising volumes are more than twice those of former President Trump and any other candidate, giving him a strong second quarter,” the newspaper wrote.
In the second quarter, Biden managed to raise a total of $72 million, as about 400,000 donors donated money to the incumbent, making 670,000 money transfers to his campaign account.
And The Hill pointed out that Trump raised more than $35 million in the second quarter, putting him ahead of the rest of the Republican candidates.
Current Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has received $20 million in donations, which is a good result considering it’s only been six weeks since he officially ran for office.
Democratic nominee Robert Kennedy Jr. received $6.3 million from donors.
The New York Times reported that former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence raised only a meager $1.2 million for his presidential campaign, according to two of his aides, raising burning questions about Republicans’ desire to elect him in 2024.
