On March 30, the Russian FSB announced the arrest in Yekaterinburg of American journalist Ivan Gershkovich, a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal in Moscow, on suspicion of spying for the US government.

According to Russian intelligence, Gershkovich collected classified information about the activities of a company affiliated with the Russian military-industrial complex, and the Lefortovo Court of Moscow extended his detention by two months.
