British Monarch Extends Congratulations to Kim Jong-un on the Founding Day of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

The Korean Central News Agency reported that Britain’s King Charles III congratulated North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The agency quoted the British monarch’s congratulations on September 9: “I wish the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, who are celebrating the founding day of their country, a bright future.”

Kim Jong-un also received congratulations from the leaders of Algeria, Mozambique, Congo, Senegal, Seychelles, Namibia, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Bahrain, Belarus, Russia and China.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was founded on September 9, 1948, and this date is celebrated annually as an official holiday in the country.
