Building an Artificial Intelligence Startup is Musk’s New Venture

WhatsApp

American billionaire Elon Musk launches a team to create an artificial intelligence startup that can compete with OpenAI, which developed the ChatGPT chatbot.

The Financial Times reported Friday, citing multiple sources familiar with the Twitter owner’s plans, noting that Musk, who heads Tesla and SpaceX and owns Twitter, is recruiting AI developers and engineers.

The newspaper indicated that Musk is in talks with a number of Tesla and SpaceX investors to convince them to invest in the new project. A source told the newspaper: “A lot of people are investing in this. It’s all real and they’re excited about it.”

Musk has bought thousands of Nvidia GPUs, video cards and chipsets to achieve his goal, newspaper sources said.

It should be noted that billionaire Musk was among more than 1,100 people who signed an open letter at the end of March warning of the serious dangers that systems comparable to human intelligence could pose.
