Molycorp, Inc. (NYSE:MCP)’s shares gained 75.93% to $0.9499, during the last trading session on Wednesday, hitting its highest level.
MCP said Wednesday that it will supply rare earth materials for use in Siemens AG’s wind turbine generators over the next 10 years.
Molycorp will supply materials such as dysprosium, from its Mountain Pass, California facility. The material will be used in magnets for wind turbines.
Molycorp’s stock has lost most of its value since peaking above $70 in 2011.
Molycorp, Inc. produces and sells rare earths and rare metal materials in the United States and internationally. The company’s Resources segment extracts rare earth minerals, counting light rare earth concentrates; rare earth oxides (REO), such as lanthanum, cerium, and neodymium-praseodymium; heavy rare earth concentrates, which comprise samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, and others; and SorbX and PhosFIX, a line of rare earth-based water treatment products.
At the end of Wednesday’s trade, Oceaneering International, Inc. (NYSE:OII)’s shares gained 3.97% to $59.12.
Oceaneering International, declared it will release its first quarter 2015 earnings Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after 5:00 p.m. Eastern. A conference call to talk about these results and the company’s future business outlook is planned for Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern.
