Cairo and Baghdad Sign 11 Documents on Economic Cooperation
Introduction
Cairo and Baghdad signed 11 documents on economic cooperation on Tuesday following the work of the “Joint Egyptian-Iraqi High Committee” headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.
Statement Released by Egyptian Prime Minister’s Office
This is stated in a statement released by the office of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli after a press conference in Cairo, which he held with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.
11 Memorandums of Understanding
Al-Sudani said during a press conference that Iraq and Egypt had signed 11 memorandums of understanding, as well as the minutes of the joint meeting. He emphasized that these notes and protocols are a roadmap for the relations between the two governments for the next stage, which is the embodiment of the will and serious desire of the leadership of the two countries to develop relations between Iraq and Egypt and pave the way for economic and trade cooperation.
Leap in Economic and Trade Relations
For his part, Madbouli said at the end of the one-day meetings that in the coming period, there will be a leap in economic and trade relations between the two countries with the expansion of the horizons of cooperation.
