Egypt’s Hamata Watan party imported tons of meat from Chad at a time when the country was suffering from massive price increases and meat shortages.

Yehia Zakaria, chairman of holding company EgyptAir, said the company has contracted with a major Egyptian chilled meat supply company to transport a series of chilled meat shipments totaling 55 tonnes per shipment aboard an A330 aircraft. 200 aircraft from the Chadian capital N’Djamena to Cairo.

The first shipments of chilled meat slaughtered in accordance with Islamic laws arrived from the country of Chad at Cairo International Airport as part of a cooperation between the Hama Al Watan party and the State Ministry of Agricultural Production and Reformation in the state of Chad.
