Chelsea Reject Manchester United’s Third Offer to Include Mason Mount
Mount’s Impending Free Agency
Chelsea officials have reacted to Manchester United’s third offer to include Mason Mount, a first-team footballer for the London club, in the summer transfer period. The Blues are looking to get rid of Mount this summer before the player enters a free period during which he is allowed to move to any team and then move to him for free, due to the expiration of his contract with the London club in the summer of 2024.
Third Offer Rejected
Manchester United made a third offer worth £55m, while the value of the first offer was between £40m and £50m, with the deal valued at £45m and an additional £5m. The Blues rejected the first two offers, and with the third offer the situation was no different, as the London club also rejected the third offer, although the value was increased. And according to the English network Sky, Manchester United, after the intransigence of the leadership of the London club, began to think about other alternatives to Mason Mount and will no longer raise the offer submitted to the player.
Blues Officials Pushing for £70m
Blues officials are pushing for £70m to approve Mason Mount’s move to Manchester United, and if the London club responds positively, Red Devils officials will be open to talks with them.
Conclusion
It remains to be seen if Manchester United will continue to pursue Mason Mount or if they will look for other options. Chelsea, on the other hand, will continue to push for a higher fee for the talented midfielder.
