In a statement from China’s Ministry of Commerce, “Wang Wentao first expressed great concern about US Section 301 tariffs on China, semiconductor policy, investment restrictions on both sides, and discriminatory subsidies and sanctions against Chinese companies.”
Wang Wentao also pointed out that “the generalization of national security is not conducive to trade exchanges and a normal economy, and the introduction of unilateral and protectionist measures is incompatible with market rules and the principle of fair competition, but rather harms security and stability, global production and supply chains.”
Hope for US to Act on Statements
He continued: “The United States has repeatedly stated that it does not seek to break off relations with China, and Beijing hopes that the United States will put these statements into practice.”
