Comcast Corporation, (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Suncor Energy, (NYSE:SU), Best Buy, (NYSE:BBY), Frontline, (NYSE:FRO)

On Monday, Shares of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA), gained 0.55% to $58.78.

Comcast Business declared that six businesses from across the U.S. – three entrepreneurs and three startup businesses – have been named grand prize winners in the “Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs” program, a national competition that awards cash and consultation services to aspiring firms who are putting technology into action to grow their business and enhance profitability.

The grand prize winners come from a wide range of industries and locations across the U.S. The six winners comprise:

  • Act II Consignment – Littleton, Colo. A consignment boutique for fashion clothing and accessories.
  • Fresh Co Home, Inc. – Bloomfield, Mich. A building company providing home improvement services such as painting, roofing, siding and gutters.
  • Camp Curiosity, Curiosity Shoppe & Toddler Center – Doylestown, Pa. Provides educational programs and summer camps for children, ranging from infants to teenagers.
  • The Training Room Physical Therapy – Garnet Valley, Pa. Offers sports and orthopaedic physical therapy and rehabilitation services for athletes and active individuals
  • Noggin Builders – Northbrook, Ill. Provides educational classes, events and summer camps for children ages 2 to 12.
  • Big Minds – Pinole, Calif. An interest-based school for 2e (twice exceptional) elementary children.

Comcast Corporation operates as a media and technology company worldwide. It operates through Cable Communications, Cable Networks, Broadcast Television, Filmed Entertainment, and Theme Parks segments. The Cable Communications segment offers video, high-speed Internet, and voice services to residential and business customers under the XFINITY brand name.

Shares of Suncor Energy Inc. (NYSE:SU), declined -1.16% to $28.66, during its last trading session, as energy stocks were paring some of their earlier losses in late Monday trade, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index slipping about 0.4% while shares of energy companies in the S&P 500 were down just 0.1% as a group.

Suncor Energy Inc. operates as an integrated energy company. The company primarily focuses on developing petroleum resource basins in Canada’s Athabasca oil sands; explores, acquires, develops, produces, and markets crude oil and natural gas in Canada and internationally; transports and refines crude oil; markets petroleum and petrochemical products primarily in Canada; and markets third party petroleum products.

At the end of Monday’s trade, Shares of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), lost -0.95% to $34.37.

Best Buy Canada plans to go live in fall 2015.

Best Buy Co., Inc. operates as a retailer of technology products, services, and solutions in the United States and internationally. Finally, Frontline Ltd. (NYSE:FRO), ended its last trade with 6.20% gain, and closed at $2.74, in order to regain some of its losses from last Friday’s regular session.

The oil tanker shipping company released its first quarter 2015 earnings results early Friday.

Additionally, it declared that it has reached a new agreement with Ship Finance International (SFL) to reduce its costs, giving the U.S. company a 27.7% stake in Frontline, according to Reuters.

Frontline Ltd., a shipping company, through its auxiliaries, owns and operates oil tankers and oil/bulk/ore carriers. The company provides seaborne transportation of crude oil and oil products.
