Communications platform X allows political advertising for 2024 presidential election

Communications platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has said it will now allow political advertising in the United States for candidates in the 2024 presidential election.
The platform confirmed in a publication that it will be strengthening its anti-content manipulation teams.
The platform, which changed its name a few weeks ago, said it would create a global hub focused on ad transparency.
Commitment to transparency
He also signaled that he would continue to ban political advertising that spread false information or aimed at undermining public confidence in any electoral process.
Former Twitter chief Jack Dorsey justified the ban on the grounds that political access must be earned, not bought. Platform X now signals the service’s commitment to freedom of expression.
