Cristiano Ronaldo enters Guinness Book of Records with historical number
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, a player of Saudi Al-Nasr, entered the Guinness Book of Records under a historical number after his official participation in the Euro 2024 qualifier with the national team against Iceland.
Portugal are currently playing against Iceland in the fourth round of the group stage of Euro 2024 qualification.
Cristiano Ronaldo reaches 200th match with Portugal
With his participation today against Iceland, Ronaldo reached his 200th match with the Portuguese national team, making him the first player in the history of football to achieve this feat and enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ronaldo’s passion and love for his country’s national team was confirmed by his achievement. He spoke about it, saying, “To play 200 caps is not easy at all, and it confirms the great passion and love for the national team of my country.”
Despite reaching this milestone, Ronaldo has no plans of retiring from the national team. He said, “I will not announce my retirement from the national team while I still feel that I can do more. My journey with Portugal will not end soon.”
