On Friday, Shares of General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), gained 1.38% to $31.49, following a Reuters report suggesting the automaker will be boosting the production of its large SUVs and trucks in order to keep up with demand.
For the 2016 model year GM could put 48,000 to 60,000 additional vehicles into production.
GM’s plant in Arlington, Texas, which makes full-sized sport utility vehicles, added Saturday overtime shifts that began at the starting of this month, Reuters noted.
