Sysco Corporation (SYY) declared nearly five dozen winners in its annual Sysco Supplier Excellence Awards, a program that recognizes partners who best meet the company’s exacting standards.
The 2015 recipients were selected from more than 2,000 eligible suppliers located worldwide. Selection was based on key business performance metrics as evaluated by Sysco’s Foodservice Companies and Sysco’s Corporate Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain departments. Honorees excelled at assisting Sysco with local business and chain sales growth, profitability, sales of Sysco-branded products, and support for its local operating companies.

Emerson (EMR) declared it has closed on the sale of its InterMetro business to Ali Group, a private company based in Italy that specializes in the manufacturing of foodservice equipment for restaurants, hotel chains, hospitals, schools, airports, correctional facilities and canteens. Final terms of the sale were not revealed.
Presently part of Emerson’s Commercial and Residential Solutions segment, InterMetro is based in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and employs more than 1,500 people across the globe.
J.P. Morgan acted as exclusive financial advisor to Emerson on the transaction. Brookwood Associates and Deloitte & Touche LLP acted as financial advisors to the Ali Group. Alston & Bird LLP acted as legal advisors for the Ali Group. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP acted as legal advisors to Emerson.

NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NRF) declared that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $500 million of its outstanding common stock.
The repurchases will occur from time to time in the open market and/or in privately negotiated transactions as market conditions permit. The authorization will expire in 12 months, unless otherwise extended by NorthStar Realty’s Board of Directors. The repurchase program will be utilized at administration’s discretion and in accordance with the requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The timing and actual number of shares repurchased will depend on a variety of factors counting price, corporate requirements and other conditions.
