Egypt’s ambassador to Senegal’s capital Dakar, Khaled Aref, said the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture praised Egyptian wheat seeds and their productivity after testing them as part of existing cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Egypt confirmed that the Senegalese side used wheat seeds “Bani Suef 5”, “Misr 1” and “Misr 2”, which were developed at the Agricultural Research Center in Egypt.
He explained that cooperation between the two countries in this area opens up new horizons for developing relations and doubling the volume of trade exchange with Egypt, since the Senegalese side highly appreciated the productivity of Egyptian seeds, which achieved results that exceeded their expectations and managed to adapt to the environment and climate. in Senegal.
Aref referred to a visit by a Senegalese official to Egypt last November, where he met with the Minister of Agriculture to discuss prospects for cooperation, and informed him of his country’s desire to benefit from Egypt’s experience in agriculture.
