The Abu Dhabi Sports Council has announced that the Pyramids will compete in the Egyptian Super Cup in place of Zamalek.
And the Abu Dhabi Council said in an official statement: “Based on the developments received, the Pyramids will participate in the Egyptian Super Cup following an official letter from the Egyptian federation to change one of the two sides of the match.”
The statement added: “We apologize to the fans who took the initiative to book tickets for the match based on previously announced games, for reasons known to all and outside the will of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, as it is not the competent body to determine the sides in match.”
The Abu Dhabi Council has announced the opportunity for fans wishing to receive the value of tickets for the match at the Zamalek supporter venues from the time of the release of the statement until 23:00 tomorrow, Thursday, by email to the ticketing company.
The Egyptian Super Cup match will take place next Friday in the UAE and usually features the league champion and the local cup winner.
And Zamalek president Mortada Mansour announced his team’s apology for the Egyptian Super Cup game against Al Ahly under the pretext of saving the club’s face.
