For his part, Hani Saqr, secretary general of the Egyptian Association of Industrialists, said in statements to the media that President Sisi’s announcement of the decision to establish a logistics zone near the Sallum Junction is very important and positive and brings great benefits to the movement of national trade and industry.

He added that many industrialists and traders have been waiting for this decision to establish a logistics zone in western Egypt for a long time, given its importance in supporting the trade movement between Egypt and Libya, in addition to the fact that this is a huge project that the government has been working on for some time. did serious research.

He continued: The logistics zone serves the port of Jargub, which has huge investment, and the port with the logistics zone can maximize the intra-trade traffic in western Egypt, which also supports the national industry, and then becomes the starting point for exports.

He noted that new projects, especially the project to create this logistics zone, will help create jobs for many residents of Matruh.
