Egyptian Minister of Supply Ali Al Moseli confirmed that Egypt is fully protected from the presence of food and supplies in the coming period.

Sufficient Strategic Wheat and Vegetable Oil Stocks

In television statements, Ali Al-Moseli said that Egypt\’s strategic wheat stocks are sufficient for 6 months, in addition to vegetable oil stocks that have reached 4 months, explaining that Egypt has purchased 3.6 million tons of local wheat so far, and that the strategic rice reserves in Egypt will last for 3.3 months.

Price of Meat

Regarding the price of a live sheep, Al-Moseli pointed out that the price of a live sheep is 170 pounds per kilogram in supply complexes, pointing out that the price of fresh Sudanese meat products is 195 pounds per kilogram, while the price of Brazilian and Indian frozen meat reaches 160 pounds per kilogram, and the price of municipal meat is 370 pounds at the outlets of the Ministry of Supply.

He stated that a large amount of fresh and chilled meat is being pumped into outlets of consumer complexes as part of the ministry\’s preparations for Eid al-Adha.

Financial Loan for Livestock

The Egyptian Minister of Supply also noted that the opening of a financial loan of $10 million helped increase the number of contracted livestock from Djibouti to 12,000 heads.
