Electricity Supply for Germany Confirmed during Winter Season by Authorities

WhatsApp

The German authorities have confirmed that they will provide electricity to the country in the coming winter season.

The newspaper Welt quoted the head of the German Federal Network Agency, Klaus Müller, as saying: “The supply of electricity next season will be guaranteed, as we have been accustomed to for many years.”

Müller believed that the problem for the stability of energy systems was the high consumption of energy and the overuse of renewable sources in southern Germany, emphasizing the importance of expanding the grid.

On April 15, German authorities shut down the country’s three remaining nuclear power plants, following a decision made by Anguilla Merkel’s government in 2011, amid the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan.
