FIFA’s Controversial Move: Al-Ahli’s Saudi March Halted

Al Ahly Jeddah have faced a major crisis in recent hours, having been denied two contract periods due to a high number of cases against the club.

And according to the Saudi Sport Channel, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) decided to impose severe penalties on Al-Ahly, depriving it of registration of new transactions for two registration periods.

The big shock is that the decision is final and not subject to appeal, as legal expert Ahmed Al-Sheikhi explained that FIFA did not accept Al-Ahli’s argument in the recent case of player Luis Grabban, in which a player terminated a contract for not receiving his salary for several months, while Al Raqi’s argument was that he did not have a bank account. In Saudi Arabia, the club was unable to transfer funds to an external account.

In addition to forfeiting contracts, FIFA’s Dispute Settlement Chamber ordered Al-Ahly to pay Crows 4.5 million riyals, in addition to late fees.

Saudi media Abd al-Rahman al-Hamidi confirmed this, in his words: “FIFA has made a decision to punish the people of Jeddah and the ban will happen even if the money for all the cases that the club owes is paid. “.

The club was relegated to the second division last season and is preparing to return to the Saudi Roshen league under coach Pitso Mushimani.

Notably, Al-Ahly is second in the Saudi Arabian Yellow League with 52 points, behind top club Al-Hazm with 53 points.
