Fresh Stocks Trader’s Buzzers: Cognizant Technology Solutions (NASDAQ:CTSH), Radius Health (NASDAQ:RDUS), Viacom, (NASDAQ:VIAB)

(RDUS) declares positive top-line data from the Phase 3 ACTIVE (Abaloparatide Comparator Trial In Vertebral Endpoints) trial, which showed that women with postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO) who received 18 months of daily abaloparatide (ABL) subcutaneous (SC) injection practiced a 70 percent reduction in the incidence of major osteoporotic fractures contrast to placebo. Responder analysis showed greater enhances in bone mineral density (BMD) at three combined anatomical sites (total hip, femoral neck and lumbar spine) contrast to placebo or teriparatide (TPTD) at 6, 12 and 18 months. These results, together with positive pharmacokinetic data from a study evaluating the ABL transdermal patch, were presented during the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) 2015 Annual Meeting as oral and poster presentations, respectively.

“The Phase 3 ACTIVE trial found that women who were taking abaloparatide practiced an early risk reduction for major osteoporotic fractures,” said Dr. Lorraine Fitzpatrick, Chief Medical Officer at Radius Health. “These data could be important to patients who have raised skeletal fragility and greater risk of additional fractures.”

ACTIVE is a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled Phase 3 trial evaluating fracture prevention in more than 2,400 women suffering from PMO.

Finally, Viacom, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB), ended its last trade with 1.20% gain, and closed at $47.08.

The stock closed at a distance of 4.55% from 20-day simple moving average. In the last trading session, the stock’s price moved -22.38% below its 200 day moving average, changing hands as low as $46.15 per share. The stock is presently trading 7.17% above its SMA 50.
