Friday’s Trade Stocks Roundup: General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), Discovery Communications (NASDAQ:DISCK), Garmin (NASDAQ:GRMN), Guess? (NYSE:GES)

On Friday, General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE:GD)’s shares declined -0.12% to $142.08.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NOC) through its Aerospace Systems sector has formed an industry team with General Dynamics (GD) and its partner, Gulfstream, and L-3 (LLL) to pursue the U.S. Air Force’s Joint STARS recap program.

This complementary team leverages Northrop Grumman’s role as the prime industry contractor for the Joint STARS E-8C wide area ground surveillance, and battle administration command and control mission for the U.S. Air Force for more than 30 years, Gulfstream’s award-winning business aircraft, and L-3’s expertise in aircraft modification and world-class communications solutions.

The Gulfstream aircraft will provide the Air Force with key mission system requirements – speed, range, altitude, endurance and reliability – well positioning the team to deliver a highly capable, cost-effective and innovative battle administration command and control/intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance solution to the Air Force, integrated on an efficient, business jet platform.

Lululemon Athletica Inc. LULU stated solid first-quarter fiscal 2015 results despite the challenges posed by currency headwinds, unfavorable weather and port delays. The company’s top and bottom line results exceeded its own expectations, thereby encouraging administration to raise its fiscal 2015 outlook.

Quarterly earnings of 34 cents per share were in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate in addition to the year-ago figure. However, earnings came ahead of the company’s forecast of a range of 31–33 cents per share.

Backed by improved total comparable sales (comps) and addition of new stores, Lululemon’s quarterly revenues advanced 10.1% to $423.5 million, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $417.8 million in addition to the company’s projection of a range of $413–$418 million.

Total comps grew 6% on a constant dollar basis, driven by a 31% surge in Direct-to-Consumer sales, partly offset by a 1% dip in quarterly comps.
