Gaining Streaks Highlights: CenterPoint Energy, (NYSE:CNP), BorgWarner, (NYSE:BWA), Accenture, (NYSE:ACN), Ericsson, (NASDAQ:ERIC)

On Monday, CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CNP)’s shares gained 1.64%, and closed at $21.06, after Governor Mark Dayton and nine city mayors in Minnesota issued proclamations announcing April as Safe Digging Month. The proclamations urge homeowners to call 811 before starting any outdoor digging projects to prevent injuries, property damage, repair costs and inconvenient outages. This April marks the eighth annual National Safe Digging Month, reminding Minnesota residents to always call 811 two working days before any digging project. National Safe Digging Month is formally recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate and has traditionally earned the support from nearly every state governor across the country.

CenterPoint Energy, Inc. operates as a public utility holding corporation in the United States. BorgWarner Inc. (NYSE:BWA)’s shares jumped 1.62%, and settled at $62.08, during the last trading session on Monday, as BorgWarner’s manufacturing plants in Nabari and Aoyama, Japan, were presented on March 31, with a Supplier Excellence Award from Honda Japan, recognizing best-in-class quality in 2014. This is the second successive year BorgWarner has received the award.

BorgWarner has been producing engine timing chains for Honda Japan since 1999. Recently, BorgWarner engine timing chains drive the Honda Fit, City, Vezel, Jade Hybrid and Grace Hybrid.

BorgWarner Inc. manufactures and sells engineered automotive systems and components primarily for powertrain applications worldwide. The corporation’s Engine segment offers turbochargers, timing devices and chain products, emissions systems, thermal systems, and diesel coldstart and gasoline ignition technology.

At the end of Monday’s trade, Accenture plc (NYSE:ACN)’s shares climbed 1.60%, and closed at $95.69, hitting new 52-week high of $96, after Accenture, has attained Axia Limited, a U.S.-based strategy consulting services provider. The attainment bolsters the capabilities of Accenture Strategy to assist clients improve their competitiveness by delivering growth through planned cost administration and organizational agility. Terms of the attainment were not revealed.

Accenture plc provides administration consulting, technology, and business process outsourcing services worldwide. The corporation’s Communications, Media & Technology segment offers enterprise and industry-customized services in network engineering and integration, field force enablement, and IP network migration; provides online customer and enterprise relationship administration services; and assists customers in developing video-over-IP platforms, and transforming legacy broadcast platforms to digital.

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), ended its Monday’s trading session with 1.59% gain, and closed at $12.76, as on March 25, Ericsson, declared new collaborations with prestigious universities King`s College London and Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden). The collective efforts will focus on 5G research, addressing both the technical implications and the societal challenges of implementing the next-generation of communications technology.

The collaborations with the two universities will build on other leading European research institute and university collaborations in the 5G sphere, such as those with the Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology and Lund University in Sweden.

Ericsson provides communications technology and services worldwide. The corporation’s Networks segment delivers products and solutions for mobile access, Internet protocol (IP) and transmission networks, core networks, and cloud. This segment offers radio access solutions; IP routing and transport solutions; transmission/backhaul solutions comprising microwave and optical transmission solutions for mobile and fixed networks; IP multimedia subsystem solutions; and operations support systems, in addition to supports operators administration of existing networks.
