Momentum Stocks in Focus - Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), JD.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:JD), Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE:HLT), Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU)

On Monday, Shares of Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), lost -3.53% to $30.32, after the company declared the departure of Chief Marketing Officer Kathy Savitt on Friday.

Savitt’s departure comes a week after the company declared that Chief Accounting Officer Aman Kothari is also leaving.

Adding to negative pressure on Yahoo’s shares recently is a report from Barron’s saying that Alibaba (BABA) could fall as much as 50% due to the struggling Chinese economy.

Yahoo! Inc. provides search and display advertising services on Yahoo properties and associate sites worldwide. The company offers Yahoo Search that serves as a starting point to navigate the Internet and discover information; and Yahoo Answers, which enables users to seek, discover, and share knowledge and opinions across mobile phones, tablets, and desktops.

Shares of JD.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:JD), declined -0.21% to $24.21, during its last trading session, as some China-based U.S. traded stocks decline following the release of two economic reports out of China.

On Sunday, China released data showing the country is still facing challenges in reaching its full year growth projection of 7%, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Industrial production in China grew by 6.1% in August, contrast to the same month last year. This figure was below the 6.6% rise economists surveyed by The Journal were expecting.

Fixed asset investment in non-rural areas grew by 10.9% year over year but fell short of the 11.2% growth that had been forecast.

The data also highlighted continued weakness across large portions of the world’s second largest economy, further pressuring the government to find a way to stimulate the economy, The Journal added.

JD.com, Inc., through its auxiliaries, operates as an online direct sales company in the People’s Republic of China. It primarily offers electronics and home appliances products; and general merchandise products, counting audio and video products, and books.

Shares of Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE:HLT), declined -0.47% to $25.47, during its last trading session.
