A police statement released on Sunday said “an additional 4 ‘Border Guard’ reserve battalions have been recruited this morning from several centers around the country,” adding that the force will “join regular and reserve forces that are revitalizing activities on the ground.” , and will work to improve security in urban centers.
The police said that these forces will be deployed in “central, northern, coastal and southern areas in order to increase security in urban centers and crowded centers”, explaining that these 4 battalions will join the 6 reserve battalions of “Border Guards”. who have been busy in recent weeks.
It stated that the newly redeployed reserve forces “are already active alongside regular forces in the Jerusalem areas, the Jerusalem suburbs and the center of the country.”
She said that the elements of the companies she recruited this morning were deployed “in a quick operational manner thanks to the preliminary preparations carried out over the past few weeks”, adding that “in accordance with the assessment of the situation and in connection with the events that took place at the end of last weeks, the Border Guard prepared to recruit companies.
And Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant decided to reinforce the police force with an army force that will be deployed in Israeli cities to support the police in providing security and protection in the central cities and the Tel Aviv area.
