Positive Stocks Buzz - Cabela’s Incorporated, (NYSE:CAB), Ascent Solar Technologies, (NASDAQ:ASTI), AK Steel, (NYSE:AKS), Scorpio Bulkers, (NYSE:SALT)

On Thursday, Shares of Cabela’s Incorporated (NYSE:CAB), gained 6.62% to $57.32.

Cabela’s Incorporated, stated financial results for first quarter fiscal 2015.

For the quarter, total revenue raised 14.0% to $827.1 million; Retail store revenue raised 18.9% to $524.4 million; Direct revenue reduced 3.3% to $173.5 million; and Financial Services revenue raised 24.7% to $122.9 million. During the period, merged comparable store sales reduced 1.3%.

For the quarter, adjusted for certain items, net income raised 6.9% to $27.5 million contrast to $25.7 million in the year ago quarter, and earnings per diluted share were $0.38 contrast to $0.36 in the year ago quarter. The Company stated GAAP net income of $26.8 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.37 as contrast to GAAP net income of $25.7 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.36 in the year ago quarter. First quarter 2015 GAAP results comprise incremental expenses related to the relocation of their distribution center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, of $0.01 per diluted share.

Cabela’s Incorporated, together with its auxiliaries, operates as a specialty retailer and direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping, and related outdoor merchandise. The company operates through three segments: Retail, Direct, and Financial Services. The Retail segment sells products and services through its retail stores.

Shares of Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTI), gained 6.53% to $1.14, during its last trading session.

Ascent Solar Technologies, declared that it reached a Stock Purchase Agreement (SPA) on April 9, 2015 with existing stockholder TFG Radiant Investment Group for $1.0 million of common stock. The transaction closed on April 17, 2015.

The transaction was priced at a fixed per share price of $1.00 and the Company has issued 1,000,000 restricted shares to TFG Radiant. The shares will become unrestricted one year from the closing date.

With this investment, TFG Radiant’s ownership in the Company has raised to about 17.0% of the outstanding common stock subsequent to the closing.

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc., a development stage company, designs and manufactures photovoltaic integrated consumer electronics; and portable power applications for commercial and military users.

At the end of Thursday’s trade, Shares of AK Steel Holding Corporation (NYSE:AKS), gained 6.52% to $4.90, after peer company Nucor (NUE), the second-largest U.S. steel producer, stated first-quarter earnings.

Nucor stated a profit of $67.8 million, or 21 cents a share, down 39% year-over-year from $111 million, or 35 cents a share. Still, this was above the company’s projections for earnings of 10 cents to 15 cents a share.

Revenue declined 14% to $4.4 billion, which missed the consensus estimate of $4.71 billion from analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.

Nucor also declared Thursday that its automotive markets remained strong and it still sees improving demand in nonresidential construction markets.

But shipments to outside customers fell 9% and average selling prices declined 5% in the latest quarter, as raised imports put pressure on the company’s margins and selling prices.

AK Steel Holding Corporation, through its partner, AK Steel Corporation, produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel, and tubular products in the United States and internationally. It produces flat-rolled value-added carbon steels, counting coated, cold-rolled, and hot-rolled carbon steel products; and specialty stainless and electrical steels in sheet and strip forms.

Finally, Scorpio Bulkers Inc. (NYSE:SALT), ended its last trade with 6.36% gain, and closed at $2.34.

Scorpio Bulkers, declared that the Company plans to issue its first quarter 2015 earnings before the market open on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 and will host a conference call later in the day at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time and 4:00 PM Central European Summer Time.
