On Wednesday, Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM)’s shares inclined 0.28% to $72.75.

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) and Telecom Italia declared a partnership agreement to offer Content Delivery Network and web optimization services and solutions to Italian companies.

Driven by explosive growth in digital media, the initiative comprises Telecom Italia offering and marketing, within the Italian market, of Akamai’s suite of services (counting web acceleration and security) capable of providing optimum performance for the distribution of high-quality video and Internet content.

The agreement also comprises a direct connection between Telecom Italia’s IP network and the global Akamai Platform. It represents an important step in how a Telco and a Content Delivery Network provider can maximize Internet infrastructure assets, enhancing the end user experience on premium content.

Akamai Technologies, Inc. provides cloud services for delivering, optimizing, and securing online content and business applications in the United States and internationally. Amedica Corporation (NASDAQ:AMDA)’s shares dropped -3.49% to $0.540.

Amedica Corporation (AMDA), a company that develops and commercializes silicon nitride ceramics as a biomaterial platform, declared that responses to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) inquiries regarding the Company’s cervical composite silicon nitride interbody device were presented to the FDA on June 30, 2015. Additionally, the Company has received feedback from the FDA regarding its wear testing femoral head protocols.

Submission for 510(k) clearance of the Valeo C Interbody with CsC Osteo-Conductive Scaffolding (“Valeo C CsC”), which was presented in the first quarter of 2015, relates to the Company’s CASCADE clinical trial of its composite silicon nitride spinal interbody devices. Since submission, the Company received a list of questions from the FDA requesting additional information pertaining to the product’s clinical performance data, in addition to indications for use and device description. The Company has responded to the questions and now awaits clearance of the Class II medical device for commercial distribution or additional communication from the FDA.

Amedica Corporation, a commercial-stage biomaterial company, develops, manufactures, and sells a range of medical devices based on its silicon nitride technology platform in the United States, Europe, and South America. It offers Valeo silicon nitride interbody spinal fusion devices for use in the cervical and thoracolumbar areas of the spine; and a line of non-silicon nitride spinal fusion products.

At the end of Wednesday’s trade, ResMed Inc. (NYSE:RMD)‘s shares dipped -0.37% to $56.55.

ResMed (RMD) declared it has attained CareTouch, a provider of internet-based solutions and therapy-focused resupply programs for home medical equipment providers (HMEs). CareTouch enables healthcare providers to efficiently provide patients the personal attention, equipment and supplies they need to maintain therapy without interruption.

Heartland Express, Inc. (NASDAQ:HTLD), ended its Wednesday’s trading session with -1.19% loss, and closed at $19.85.
