Avnet began distributing Nutanix in 2014, assisting the company expand its market presence in Australia, Canada and the U.S. Avnet will now provide its channel partners in Mexico with the Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform, which partners can use to design and develop converged compute and storage infrastructure for virtualized data centers.

At the end of Thursday’s trade, Freescale Semiconductor Ltd (NYSE:FSL)‘s shares dipped -3.73% to $39.98.

First Quarter Highlights

Net sales for the first quarter of 2015 were $1.17 billion, contrast to $1.10 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014 and $1.13 billion in the first quarter of 2014.

Operating earnings for the period were $179 million, contrast to $178 million in the fourth quarter of 2014 and $155 million in the first quarter of 2014. Operating earnings were in line with the preceding quarter. On a year-over-year basis, operating earnings benefitted from higher sales and improving gross margins. Comprised of in first quarter 2015 operating earnings were $26 million of reorganization of business costs, which was an enhance over the preceding quarter and comprised of severance in addition to costs associated with the company’s planned merger with NXP Semiconductors.
