Alcatel-Lucent provides Internet protocol (IP) and cloud networking, and ultra- broadband access worldwide. The company’s Core Networking segment offers IP routing, carrier Ethernet, network functions virtualization, and software defined networking applications and infrastructure to meet the challenges of network traffic growth while supporting the delivery of cloud-enabled business, mobile, and residential services for service providers, mobile network operators, cable/multiple system operators, transportation, utilities, and large-scale enterprises.

Shares of Nidec Corporation (NYSE:NJ), inclined 0.77% to $19.62, during its current trading session.

Xerox Corporation, declared the appointment of Darrell Ford as chief human resources officer and senior vice president of the corporation. He will join the company on Dec. 1, 2015.

“Darrell brings proven leadership skills and a strong background across all HR competencies,” said CEO Ursula Burns. “His sound business acumen and global perspective will assist Xerox to continue to adapt and to address the needs of our increasingly diverse workforce.”

Ford comes to Xerox from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he has been chief human resources officer since 2012. At AMD, Ford assisted guide the company’s successful “AMD Way”, an ongoing effort to align the global employee population around a culture of commitment to assist create improved value for customers and shareholders. Before joining AMD, Ford was vice president of human resources for the Retail and Lubricants divisions at Shell Oil. Ford, 50, has a law degree and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University. He is a member of Human Resources 50, HR Policy Association, American Bar Association – Labor and Employment Section, and the Society of HR Planning.
