Traders Recap: Ball Corporation (NYSE:BLL), Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (NASDAQ:SIAL), Infinera Corp. (NASDAQ:INFN), Aqua America Inc (NYSE:WTR)

On Wednesday, Shares of Ball Corporation (NYSE:BLL), lost -2.33% to $63.37.

Ball Corporation has been named the industry leader for container and packaging companies on the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the third successive year. Ball Corporation (BLL) maintained its best-in-class position on both the DJSI World Index, and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index North America (DJSI NA).

The DJSI World Index tracks the performance of the top 10 percent of the 2,500 largest companies on the S&P Global Broad Market IndexSM that lead the field in terms of sustainability; while the DJSI NA tracks the performance of the top 20 percent of the 600 largest Canadian and United States companies. Ball earned industry-leading scores in the environmental and social dimensions and scored particularly well on criteria integral to its Drive for 10 vision such as operational health and safety, operational eco-efficiency, product stewardship and stakeholder engagement.

Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, declared it has signed an exclusive global distribution agreement with IROA Technologies, LLC to distribute IROA’s Mass Spectrometry Metabolite Library of Standards™ (MSMLS). The agreement partners IROA’s MSMLS product portfolio and software with the industry-leading eCommerce and supply chain capabilities of Sigma-Aldrich.

MSMLS is a collection of high-quality small molecules that span a broad range of primary metabolism. These are high purity (>95%) compounds supplied in an economical, ready-to-use format. The library of standards is most commonly used to provide retention times and spectra for key metabolic compounds, assist optimize mass spectrometry analytical protocols and qualify and quantify mass spectrometry sensitivity and limit of detection.

Under the agreement, Sigma-Aldrich has worldwide rights to sell IROA Technologies’ Mass Spectrometry Metabolite Library of Standards. Sigma-Aldrich will employ its sales, marketing and eCommerce expertise and leverage the strength of its relationships with the scientific community to present and distribute MSMLS and the corresponding software, MSMLSDiscovery.

Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, a life science and high technology company, develops, manufactures, purchases, and distributes various chemicals, biochemicals, and equipment products worldwide. At the end of Wednesday’s trade, Shares of Infinera Corp. (NASDAQ:INFN), gained 1.02% to $20.76.

Infinera, provider of Intelligent Transport Networks, declared the appointment of Rajal M. Patel to the board of directors of Infinera, effective September 17, 2015.

Mr. Patel brings more than 20 years of experience in scaling cloud infrastructure for consumer Internet, SaaS and other service providers globally. Since March 2014, Mr. Patel has served as the head of cloud engineering at Pinterest. Preceding to Pinterest, Mr. Patel served as senior vice president for technical operations at Salesforce.com from July 2013 to December 2013. Mr. Patel was vice president for cloud services engineering at Cisco Systems from April 2010 to July 2013, and held various engineering and administration roles at Yahoo! Inc. from 2004 to early 2010.

Infinera provides Intelligent Transport Networks, enabling Internet Content Providers and cloud network operators to scale bandwidth while accelerating service innovation and simplifying optical network operations. To address the fast growing market for datacenter interconnection, Infinera introduced the Cloud Xpress platform in late 2014, the industry’s first server-like rack and stack wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) platform. Industry research firm Ovum named Infinera the number one provider of datacenter interconnection solutions to Internet Content Providers and Carrier Neutral Providers worldwide, and named Infinera as the fastest growing company in the datacenter interconnection market worldwide. The addition of Mr. Patel to the board of directors broadens Infinera’s cloud networking experience as the company seeks to grow share in this rapidly expanding market.

Infinera Corporation provides optical transport networking equipment, software, and services for telecommunications service providers, Internet content providers, cable operators, wholesale and enterprise carriers, research and education institutions, and government entities worldwide.

Finally, Aqua America Inc (NYSE:WTR), ended its last trade with 0.23% gain, and closed at $26.00.

Aqua Pennsylvania (Aqua) is reminding customers that its Assisting Hand assistance program is available to low-income families who find it difficult to pay their water bills.

The Assisting Hand program is multi-faceted, offering customers a payment plan to pay down arrears and ensure their water isn’t turned off; an opportunity for customers who make payments on time to earn a monthly credit toward their arrears; and a conservation kit to assist customers curb usage and therefore, reduce their bills. The conservation kit comprises leak-detection tablets, a low-flow shower head, low-flow aerators for kitchen faucets, and more. Customers who reduce their usage are also reducing their bills.

Aqua America, Inc., through its auxiliaries, operates regulated utilities that provide water or wastewater services in the United States. It offers liquid waste hauling and disposal, and water and wastewater services through operating and maintenance contracts with municipal authorities and other parties.
