On Thursday, Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ)’s shares inclined 4.01% to $20.50.

Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), one of the world’s largest solar power companies, recently declared that the Company has reached a long term product supply agreement with Vivint Solar (VSLR), a leading provider of distributed solar energy to residential and commercial customers in the United States. This contract, which allows for Canadian Solar to supply Vivint Solar with high efficiency CS6P polycrystalline modules for residential and commercial installations, will give the Company the ability to reach additional customers within these market segments and expand its consumer base.

Canadian Solar Inc., together with its auxiliaries, designs, develops, manufactures, and sells solar wafers, cells, and solar power products worldwide. The company operates in two segments, Module and Energy. Its products comprise various solar modules that are used in residential, commercial, and industrial solar power generation systems.

Calpine Corporation( NYSE:CPN)’s shares gained 0.50% to $15.93.

Zamir Rauf, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Calpine Corporation (CPN), is planned to attend the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Power & Gas Leaders Conference in Boston on September 16, 2015. Mr. Rauf will take part in a panel talk aboution titled “Maximizing Shareholder Value in a Volatile Deregulated Market.” The panel is planned to start at 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time / 9:15 a.m. Central Time.

Separately, Mr. Rauf is planned to attend the Wolfe Power and Gas Leaders Conference in New York City on September 30, 2015, where he will take part in a panel talk aboution titled “Capital Discipline Stories.” The talk aboution is planned to start at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time / 2:30 p.m. Central Time.

Calpine Corporation, a wholesale power generation company, owns and operates natural gas-fired and geothermal power plants in North America. It operates natural gas-fired combustion turbines and renewable geothermal conventional steam turbines.

At the end of Thursday’s trade, NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP)‘s shares dipped -0.46% to $32.21.

Vivus, Inc., (VVUS) whose shares shot up right away at the market opening yesterday morning, to a daily high of $1.66, representing a 38% enhance from the previous close of $1.20, settled back down to close for the day at $1.35. The offer expires at 5:00pm EST 7 October 2015. Vivus, based in Mountain View, California, had no comment on the offer. Likewise, IEH offered neither specific follow-up comments nor a platform of reasoning behind the offer.
