He also continued that his forces have strengthened their positions on the border with Sudan, explaining that they will return the Sudanese soldiers to their country after the situation stabilizes.
Chad’s minister noted that his country had contacted the African Union and the United Nations over the crisis in Sudan, stressing that it was affected by what the neighbor was going through and that it was intervening to resolve the crisis.
He said that because of the events in Darfur, hundreds of thousands of Sudanese live in his country.
300 dead
It is noteworthy that fighting in Khartoum between the army and the Rapid Support Forces has been going on for the fifth day, as a result of which more than 300 civilians have died, and thousands of residents have been forced to flee the Sudanese capital to escape the fighting.
While Chad closed its borders with Sudan on Saturday after the outbreak of hostilities.
The two countries share a common border that stretches for more than a thousand kilometers in the east of the country, adjacent to the Darfur region, where inter-tribal clashes often occur, especially over disputes over land and difficulties in obtaining water.
