On Friday, Shares of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:UAL), gained 7.05% to $57.12.

United Airlines continues its investment in the education and development of hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students by awarding more than $1 million in scholarships to its employees and their families through the United Scholarship Fund (USF).

A company-sponsored charity, the USF has awarded more than 750 scholarships for the 2015-2016 school year – more than 250 of them to new recipients – based on several factors, counting financial need, academic standing, community involvement, and leadership ability. This year’s recipients live in four countries and seventeen states within the United States.

The USF is a private, nonprofit charity that supports the educational pursuits of employees and their dependents. Students have the opportunity to apply for a one-time scholarship of $1,000 or a $1,500 award renewable for up to five years, counting one year of graduate school after concluding a bachelor’s degree.

United Continental Holdings, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, provides air transportation services in North America, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Shares of Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK), declined -4.96% to $47.52, during its last trading session, hitting its lowest level.

Autodesk stated financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2016. The company stated strong billings and deferred revenue growth.

Second Quarter Fiscal 2016

  • Total billings raised 7 percent, contrast to the second quarter last year as stated, and 15 percent on a constant currency basis.
  • Deferred revenue raised 26 percent to $1.2 billion, contrast to $981 million in the second quarter last year.
  • Total subscriptions raised by about 61,000 from the first quarter of fiscal 2016. Total subscriptions were 2.39 million at the end of the second quarter.
  • Revenue was $610 million, a decrease of 4 percent contrast to the second quarter last year as stated, and flat on a constant currency basis.
  • GAAP operating margin was 1 percent, contrast to 8 percent in the second quarter last year.

Autodesk, Inc. operates as a design software and services company worldwide. The company’s Architecture, Engineering and Construction segment offers Autodesk Building Design Suites to manage various phases of design and construction; Autodesk Revit products that provide model-based design and documentation systems; Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suites; AutoCAD Civil 3D products that offer a surveying, design, analysis, and documentation solution; and AutoCAD Map 3D software, which offers direct access to data needed for infrastructure planning, design, and administration.

Finally, Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL), ended its last trade with 1.80% gain, and closed at $11.32.

Marvell Technology Group declared that the Company has postponed its second fiscal quarter of 2016 earnings release and conference call, originally planned for Thursday, August 20, 2015, to allow for more time to finalize its quarterly financial results. Marvell intends to issue a press release subsequently about its rescheduled earnings date.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. designs, develops, and markets analog, mixed-signal, digital signal processing, and embedded and standalone integrated circuits. It offers mobile and wireless products comprising communications and applications processors; thin modems; and connectivity solutions, counting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, near field communication, and FM; and mobile computing products, in addition to silicon solutions and Kinoma software.
