The Cigna Foundation declared a grant of $220,000 to Feeding Children Everywhere (FCE), a non-profit that supports Hunger Projects around the world. This award celebrates a milestone in Cigna’s relationship with FCE, as a total of one million meals now have been packaged in 25 Hunger Projects over three years with support from the Cigna Foundation to FCE.
The grant continues a partnership begun in 2012 between the Cigna Foundation and Feeding Children Everywhere in the “Cigna Fights Hunger” campaign, a series of volunteer events that mobilize Cigna employees to package nutritious meals for hungry children and families in their own communities and globally. In 2015, the Cigna Foundation grant and Cigna employee volunteer effort assisted make it possible for FCE to deliver more than 250,000 meals to CARE FOR AIDS, a Kenya non-profit that nourishes people living with AIDS and HIV, and to multiple sites within the United States.
“Beyond our grant, our involvement with Feeding Children Everywhere offers Cigna the opportunity to create our largest Cigna volunteer efforts, enabling us to play a part in alleviating hunger in locations all over the globe,” explained David Figliuzzi, executive director of the Cigna Foundation.

- Willis Group Holdings plc (WSH) will replace Fossil Group Inc. (FOSL) in the S&P 500, and Fossil Group will replace Towers Watson & Co. (TW) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Monday, January 4. Willis Group is merging with Towers Watson in a deal predictable to be accomplished on or about that date pending final conditions. Post merger, Willis Group Holdings will change its name to Willis Towers Watson plc and trade under the ticker symbol “WLTW”. Fossil has a market capitalization that is more representative of the mid-cap market space.
- Adeptus Health Inc. (ADPT) will replace Ferroglobe plc (GSM) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, December 31. Globe Specialty Metals recently accomplished its combination with Grupo FerroAtlántica, creating a new company called Ferroglobe plc. The new company does not meet the domicile and public float criteria as outlined in the S&P U.S. Indices methodology.
Willis Towers Watson is a global advisory, broking and solutions firm. Headquartered in London, England the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Insurance Brokers Sub-Industry index.
Fossil Group designs, develops, markets, and distributes consumer fashion accessories. Headquartered in Richardson, TX, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 Apparel Accessories & Luxury Goods Sub-Industry index.
Adeptus Health owns and operates a network of independent freestanding emergency rooms. Headquartered in Lewisville, TX, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Health Care Services Sub-Industry index.
Adeptus Health Inc. owns and operates a network of independent freestanding emergency rooms in the United States. As of December 31, 2014, it operated 55 facilities located in the Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Phoenix. Finally, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (NYSE:CHD), ended its last trade with 1.08% gain, and closed at $86.27.
