Active Stocks in Review: Vale S.A. (NYSE:VALE), The AES Corporation (NYSE:AES),

On Friday, Shares of Vale S.A. (NYSE:VALE), gained 0.18% to $5.43, leading the Ibovespa as rebounding Chinese markets and government intervention in China assisted curb losses, Bloomberg reports.

This comes as Vale, the world’s largest producer of the steel-making ingredient iron ore, saw iron ore prices reach their lowest levels in a decade.

“The rebound in iron ore certainly brings some relief to Vale investors, benefiting the whole market,” Guide Investimentos SA analyst Luis Gustavo Pereira stated. “The mood is much more positive, and some stocks look very attractive.”

Vale S.A., together with its auxiliaries, engages in the research, production, and sale of iron ore and pellets, nickel, fertilizer, copper, coal, manganese, ferroalloys, cobalt, platinum group metals, and precious metals in Brazil and internationally.

Shares of The AES Corporation (NYSE:AES), inclined 0.69% to $13.10, during its last trading session.

The AES Corporation, will host a conference call on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) to review its second quarter 2015 financial results.
