Acting Governor of the Zaporozhye region, Yevhen Paletsky, said that since the start of the counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces have lost, according to preliminary data, more than 20,000 troops in the direction of Zaporozhye.
Paletsky wrote on his Telegram page: “I consider it necessary to comment on the situation in the Zaporozhye direction of the line of contact. The situation in the Orekhovo direction is still tense, our positions are being shelled every day, the enemy is actively working, but merciless to their soldiers. The enemy has lost, according to preliminary estimates, more than 20,000 servicemen.
He added that Ukrainian forces had made no progress in the counteroffensive towards Zaporozhye. He continued, “The enemy has no success. They show no mercy to their soldiers, they try to achieve at least a small victory in order to report to the West. This is an imitation of hostilities in which Kyiv suffers heavy losses.”
