Late Afternoon Stocks Highlights: BB&T Corporation (NYSE:BBT), Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY), Baxter International Inc. (NYSE:BAX), American Realty Capital Properties Inc (NASDAQ:ARCP)

On Monday, in the course of current trade, Shares of BB&T Corporation (NYSE:BBT), climbed 0.32%, and is now trading at $ 40.33.

BB&T Corporation, declared Chief Operating Officer Chris Henson will speak at the Morgan Stanley Financials Conference in New York, Wednesday, June 10, at 10:20 a.m. ET.

BB&T Corporation operates as a financial holding company that provides various banking and trust services for retail and commercial clients. During an Afternoon trade, Shares of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY), dipped -3.89%, and is now trading at $12.86.

Cypress Semiconductor Corp., declared that it has received a financing commitment letter from Barclays Bank PLC, and that it has shared the letter with Integrated Silicon Solution, Cypress issued the following statement regarding this letter:

“As referenced in our June 2nd press release, Cypress can now confirm it has received a financing commitment letter on competitive terms from Barclays and shared the letter with ISSI. This financing commitment further strengthens Cypress’s offer and demonstrates Cypress’s determination to close a transaction.”

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation provides mixed-signal programmable solutions, semiconductor memories, and integrated semiconductor solutions worldwide. The company’s Memory Products division designs and manufactures static random access memory products and nonvolatile RAMs used to store and retrieve data in networking, wireless infrastructure and handsets, computation, consumer, automotive, industrial, and other electronic systems; and general-purpose programmable clocks.

Shares of Baxter International Inc. (NYSE:BAX), during its Monday’s current trading session fell - 0.29%, and is now trading at $ 64.83.

Baxter International, declared that its board of directors has approved the planned separation of its biopharmaceuticals business, which will be known as Baxalta Incorporated, and declared a special dividend distribution of 80.5 percent of the outstanding shares of Baxalta common stock. Baxter will retain a 19.5 percent ownership stake in Baxalta right away following the distribution.

For each share of Baxter common stock held of record as of the close of business on June 17, 2015, Baxter shareholders will receive one share of Baxalta common stock. Shareholders will receive cash in lieu of fractional shares. The special dividend is predictable to be paid on July 1, 2015.

Baxter International, develops, manufactures, and markets products for people with hemophilia, immune disorders, infectious diseases, kidney disease, trauma, and other chronic and acute medical conditions.

Finally, American Realty Capital Properties Inc (NASDAQ:ARCP), gained 0.35% Monday, hitting its highest level.

American Realty Capital Properties, declared the hiring of Lauren Goldberg as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.

Ms. Goldberg’s experience comprises general counsel for a public company, as an Assistant United States Attorney and in private practice. “Lauren’s well-rounded background across regulatory matters, compliance, securities law, litigation, M&A and financing provides the experience we need to navigate the Company’s current landscape,” explained Glenn J. Rufrano, Chief Executive Officer of ARCP. “She will work closely with our leadership team to enhance corporate governance and enhance transparency with our stakeholders, while managing our in-house legal teams.”

American Realty Capital Properties, owns and acquires single tenant, freestanding commercial real estate that is net leased on a medium-term basis, primarily to investment grade credit rated and other creditworthy tenants. The company principally invests in retail and office properties.
