On Thursday, Shares of Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB), lost -0.99% to $87.98, hitting its highest level.

Facebook’s latest diversity numbers show that the company is still mostly white and male, underscoring the need for initiatives such as the requirement that at least one minority candidate be considered for open positions, according to Bloomberg.

The workforce at the world’s largest social network is 68 percent male, contrast with 69 percent a year earlier, Facebook said on its website Thursday. The number of white employees fell only slightly, to 55 percent from 57 percent. Facebook has more than 10,000 staff. Bloomberg Reports.

Facebook’s gender and ethnicity figures are broadly in line with other tech giants. Women made up about 30 percent to 35 percent of employees in industries related to computers and software development in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Among the broader population, about half of the U.S. workforce are women. Bloomberg added.

Facebook, Inc. operates as a social networking company worldwide. It provides a set of development tools and application programming interfaces that enable developers to integrate with Facebook to create mobile and Web applications.

Shares of Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW), declined -1.06% to $20.55, during its last trading session.

Corning Incorporated, declared that it will invest in a new Gen 8.5 liquid crystal display (LCD) glass substrate finishing facility in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area (CQLJ) in Southwest China.

This new finishing facility will become Corning`s second LCD plant on the China mainland. Corning also operates a melting and finishing LCD plant in Beijing. This investment is driven by strong demand for LCD substrates in China and will enable Corning to serve Chinese panel makers more effectively through localized glass supply. The company did not disclose the funding level for this project.

Corning Incorporated manufactures and sells specialty glasses, ceramics, and related materials worldwide. The company operates through five segments: Display Technologies, Optical Communications, Environmental Technologies, Specialty Materials, and Life Sciences.

Finally, Seagate Technology Public Limited Company (NASDAQ:STX), ended its last trade with -2.46% loss, and closed at $50.69, hitting its lowest level.
